I’m starting 2012 with a downtempo compilation that I’ve been working on for a few months. At 100 BPM it’s the slowest set I’ve ever done and I’m really digging this sound. It’s deep, funky, and jazzy with a hip hop twist. Post your comments and let me know what you think.

I spent a few of my college years working at a record store in Lowell called Bananas. I made a bunch of mix CD’s and tapes and I spent more on records then I earned.

Bananas closed a few years ago and I’ve been wanting to do a tribute mix in the spirit of the first club mix I did back in 2000. It’s vocal and clubby, perhaps a bit mainstream, but tasteful. Let’s close the summer out with a bang. Enjoy!
